2002 CABERNET SAUVIGNON, DIAMOND MOUNTAIN

Our first vintage from this hillside vineyard yielded some truly amazing fruit. The vineyard, which sits high above the valley floor, yields less than two tons per acre -- far below the Napa Valley average.

We extracted this intense flavor and color by hand through punch downs in small stainless steel tanks. We also extended the maceration time in order to get the most flavor and color in the gentlest way possible.

The Diamond Mountain Cabernet will age in French oak barrels for 22 months before blending and bottling.

   -  13.5% Alcohol by Volume

   -  Aged in French oak barrels (50% new) for 22 months

Tasting Notes:

Great mouth feel, flavors of black cherry, currant, tobacco, tea leaves, vanilla, smooth well structured tannins.
